ATP 250 Stuttgart 1/8-Finals
Gasquet – Nakashima: 13.06.2024 11:00 CEST
H2H: 1-2
Richard Gasquet has lost three of his last five matches. Gasquet is unfortunately declining in his form, which is normal considering his age. Here in Stuttgart, Richard had to fight through the qualification tournament to get into the main draw. However, Gasquet lost in the final qualifying round against Herbert in three sets. He is in the main draw as a lucky loser. Last year in Stuttgart, Richard reached the quarterfinals where he lost against Struff in straight sets. En route to the quarterfinals, Gasquet won against Eubanks and Tsitsipas.
Brandon Nakashima has won four of his last five matches. Last week, Nakashima played the challenger tournament in Surbiton on grass where he reached the semifinal where he lost against Riedi in three sets. Here in Stuttgart, Nakashima won in the first round against a very solid grass court player, Chris Eubanks, in straight sets. Brandon had 21 winners with only 5 unforced errors. He also served well, not offering any breakpoints.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Nakashima is the favorite in this matchup. Looking at their current form, Nakashima looks in better shape and form. He already had some solid matches last week in Surbiton on grass. On the other hand, Gasquet did not look good against Herbert in the qualifying tournament.
That being said, Nakashima winning in straight sets is a value bet.

Rinderknech – Struff: 13.06.2024 12:30 CEST
H2H: 1-0
Arthur Rinderknech has won three of his last five matches. In the first round here in Stuttgart, Rinderknech won comfortably against Michelsen in straight sets. This was his first competitive match after retiring at the French Open against Etcheverry. Rinderknech played only once here in Stuttgart two years ago, where he lost in the second round against Benjamin Bonzi. Last year, Rinderknech reached the quarterfinals in Mallorca on grass. Other than that, Arthur never had any remarkable results on grass.
Jan-Lennard Struff has won three of his last five matches. Two weeks ago, Struff lost in the 1/16-Finals of the French Open against de Minaur in four sets. Struff loves to play short points with aggressive tennis which fits the grass court perfectly. In the first round here in Stuttgart, Struff won in a tight match against Cobolli in straight sets as we predicted. Last year, Struff reached the final here in Stuttgart where he lost against Tiafoe in three tight sets. En route to the final, Jan-Lennard won against some great grass court players such as Hurkacz, Gasquet and Tommy Paul.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Struff is a big favorite in this matchup. We believe that he may win this match, but we trust Rinderknech to keep this match tight. Arthur is a big server, so we believe that he will win his service games comfortably. The surface is still really fast, so we believe that he will get at least to the tiebreak.
That being said, Rinderknech covering the games handicap is a value bet.
Value bet/ the best odds: Arthur Rinderknech +3.5 games handicap @1.73 @bet365
