ATP French Open Alcaraz vs Sinner Best Bet

Carlos Alcaraz in action at the French Open.

ATP French Open semifinals

Alcaraz – Sinner: 07.06.2024 14:30 CEST
H2H: 5-4

Carlos Alcaraz has won five straight matches. Last month, Alcaraz reached the quarterfinals in Madrid where he was defeated by Rublev in three sets. Since then, Alcaraz has been preparing for the French Open. He also had some fitness issues, so that is why he missed the ATP Masters 1000 in Rome. In his first round match, Alcaraz only lost 4 games against J.J. Wolf. He was dominant from the very start. After that, Alcaraz was struggling against De Jong, winning the match in four tight sets. In the third round, Alcaraz defeated Korda in three tight sets. Once again, Alcaraz played excellently under pressure. Korda had no answer for his game. In the 1/8-Finals, Alcaraz faced Felix Auger-Aliassime. Carlos lost only 7 games throughout the three sets. It was another dominant performance from Carlos. It seems like as the tournament progresses, Alcaraz plays better. Yesterday in the quarterfinal, Alcaraz won against Tsitsipas in straight sets as we predicted. Carlos only offered two breakpoints and had no problems against Stefanos. His dropshots were on point, and his overall game was just great yet again. Last year in Paris, Alcaraz lost against Novak Djokovic in the semifinal.

Jannik Sinner has won five straight matches. So far in Paris, Jannik has only lost one set. In the first round, Sinner won against Eubanks in straight sets. Jannik did not have any problems in the first round. After that, Sinner won his second round match against Gasquet in straight sets as well. In the third round, Kotov stood no chance against the in-form Sinner, who defeated him in three sets without losing his serve. In the 1/8-Finals, Sinner lost the first set against Moutet. However, after that, Sinner looked unstoppable yet again and lost only 6 games in the last three sets. Sinner faced Grigor Dimitrov in the quarterfinals. Jannik was completely dominant in the first two sets, winning them 6-2 6-4 without offering any breakpoints. In the third set, Jannik had a chance to serve out the match at 5-4, but fumbled under pressure. However, Jannik stayed calm in the tiebreak and finished the match in straight sets. With Novak Djokovic withdrawing from the tournament due to an injury, Jannik Sinner will become the new number 1 on Monday. He is the first Italian to do so. Although his French Open appearance was under question mark due to an injury, Sinner looks fit and ready. Last year in Paris, Jannik lost surprisingly against Altmaier in the second round in five sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Alcaraz is just a slight favorite in this matchup. Looking at their head-to-head meetings, they faced each other twice on clay. Both guys have won one match on clay against each other, so the record is even. Both players have done a great job so far in Paris. However, we believe that Alcaraz is a better clay court player than Sinner, and he has also beaten better players throughout the tournament.

That being said, Alcaraz winning is a value bet.
