ATP French Open Best Bets Including Djokovic vs Ruud

Novak Djokovic in action at the French Open.

ATP French Open quarterfinals

Djokovic – Ruud: 05.06.2024 Time TBA
H2H: 5-1

Novak Djokovic has won four of his last five matches. So far this season, Novak has been struggling a lot with his form and is yet to win a title. So far in Paris this year, Novak won his first round match against Herbert in three tight sets as we predicted. After that, Novak won comfortably against Carballes Baena in straight sets yet again. In the 1/16-finals, Novak won against Musetti in five sets as we predicted. Nole was 1-2 down, but showed his winning mentality yet again and turned the match around. Unfortunately, Novak got his knee injured yesterday in the second set. He was able to win with painkillers against Cerundolo in five sets as we predicted. Last year, Nole won the title in Paris and is the defending champion.

Casper Ruud has won eight straight matches. Two weeks ago, Casper won the title in Geneva, and picked up his form right before the French Open. Here in Paris, Ruud won his first round match against Meligeni Alves in straight sets easily. After that, Casper had a marathon match against Davidovich Fokina. Eventually, Casper played better under pressure and won the match in five sets. Casper won his fourth round match against Etcheverry easily in four sets. Yesterday, Fritz had no answer for Ruud and Casper defeated him in four sets as well.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, this should be a 50-50 match. Looking at Djokovic’s form and his current knee issues, we believe that he won’t be able to handle Casper Ruud. Nole played consecutive five-setters and, at this age, this would be too much for his body.

That being said, Ruud winning is a value bet.

Zverev – De Minaur: 05.06.2024 Time TBA
H2H: 7-2

Alexander Zverev has won 10 straight matches. Two weeks ago, Sascha lifted the title in Rome after beating Nicolas Jarry in straight sets. This year in the first round, Zverev defeated Nadal in straight sets as we predicted. After that, Sascha had another great performance, winning against Goffin in three sets. In the third round, Alexander was on the verge of losing against Griekspoor. He was 1-4 down in the fifth set, but managed to keep his composure and turn the match around. Yesterday, Zverev came back after being 1-2 down against Rune. It was another hard-fought match for Zverev, but he still came through as the winner.

Alex de Minaur has won four of his last five matches. Here in Paris, de Minaur absolutely dominated against Michelsen and only lost three games in the first round match. After that, De Minaur dominated once again, winning against Munar in straight sets. In the third round, de Minaur was 0-1 down against Struff, but was able to stay consistent and turn around the match, winning three straight sets. Yesterday, Alex was an underdog against Medvedev. He lost the first set again, and then proceeded to win three straight sets once again.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, de Minaur is the underdog in this matchup. Zverev had two consecutive rough five-setters. We are not sure how his body will react to that. De Minaur has had an amazing tournament so far, so we believe that he will keep this match tight.

That being said, de Minaur covering the games handicap is a value bet.
