Novak Djokovic in action at the French Open.

ATP French Open 1/8-Finals

Djokovic – Cerundolo: 03.06.2024 16:00
H2H: first meeting

Novak Djokovic has won four of his last five matches. So far this season, Novak has been struggling a lot with his form and is yet to win a title. Two weeks ago in Rome, Djokovic lost his second round match against Tabilo in straight sets. After that, Djokovic reached the semifinals in Geneva, where he lost against Machac in three sets. So far in Paris this year, Novak won his first round match against Herbert in three tight sets as we predicted. After that, Novak won comfortably against Carballes Baen in straight sets yet again. Two days ago, Novak won against Musetti in five sets as we predicted. Nole was 1-2 down, but showed his winning mentality yet again and turned the match around. Last year, Nole won the title in Paris and is the defending champion.

Francisco Cerundolo has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Lyon, Cerundolo was upset by Gaston in three sets. Cerundolo has lost only one set so far here in Paris. In the first round, Cerundolo won against Hanfmann in straight sets. After that, Francisco completely dominated from the very start against the qualifier, Misolic. Two days ago, Cerundolo won comfortably against Tommy Paul in four sets as we predicted. Last year in Paris, Cerundolo reached the 1/8-Finals where he lost against Holger Rune in five tough sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Djokovic is a huge favorite in this matchup. His last match lasted almost five hours, whilst playing until 3am. Cerundolo is a very solid clay court player who has also shown solid tennis so far in Paris. We believe that Cerundolo will keep this match tight.

That being said, Cerundolo covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Francisco Cerundolo +7.5 games handicap @1.73 @bet365

Zverev – Rune: 03.06.2024 20:15 CEST
H2H: 0-1

Alexander Zverev has won 9 straight matches. Two weeks ago, Sascha lifted the title in Rome after beating Nicolas Jarry in straight sets. This year in the first round, Zverev defeated Nadal in straight sets as we predicted. After that, Sascha had another great performance, winning against Goffin in three sets. Two days ago, Alexander was on the verge of losing against Griekspoort. He was 1-4 down in the fifth set, but managed to keep his composure and turn the match around. Zverev feels comfortable on the court and is currently one of the biggest favorites to lift the title this year.

Holger Rune has won four of his last five matches. Rune won his first round match comfortably against Evans in straight sets. After that, Rune was fighting to stay in the tournament against Cobolli when he was 0-5 down in the fifth set tiebreak. Two days ago, Rune had it easy against Kovalik when he won in straight sets in just over two hours.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Zverev is a big favorite in this matchup. Although he is in great form, Zverev did not play his best tennis two days ago against Griekspoor. We believe that Rune will keep this match tight.

That being said, Rune covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Holger Rune +4.5 games handicap @1.80 @bet365
