ATP French Open Best Bets Including Djokovic vs Musetti

Novak Djokovic in action at the French Open.

ATP French Open 1/16-Finals

Djokovic – Musetti: 01.06.2024 Time TBA
H2H: 4-1

Novak Djokovic has won three of his last five matches. So far this season, Novak has struggled a lot with his form and has yet to win a title. Two weeks ago in Rome, Djokovic lost his second round match against Tabilo in straight sets. After that, Djokovic reached the semifinals in Geneva, where he lost against Machac in three sets. After the match, Novak said that he was worried about his tennis. We believe that his age is slowly affecting him on the court, and that his form will keep decreasing. So far in Paris this year, Novak won his first round match against Herbert in three tight sets as we predicted. After that, Novak won comfortably against Carballes Baena in straight sets yet again. Last year, Nole won the title in Paris and is the defending champion.

Lorenzo Musetti has won four of his last five matches. Two weeks ago, Musetti lost the final at the challenger tournament in Turin against Passaro. En route to the final, Lorenzo won some matches against solid clay court players. This week, Musetti dominated against Galan in three sets. It was an easy match for him. Yesterday, Musetti won his second round match against Monfils in three sets as we predicted. Looking at the draw, Musetti is one of the dark horses that could upset Djokovic with his playing style. Last year in Paris, Musetti reached the second week when he lost in the 1/8-Finals against Alcaraz in straight sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Musetti is a big underdog in this match. He already upset Djokovic on clay last year in Monte Carlo. We believe that he could even win against Novak if he plays his best tennis tomorrow.

That being said, Musetti, covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Etcheverry – Ruud: 01.06.2024 Time TBA
H2H: 0-2

Tomas Martin Etcheverry has won four of his last five matches. So far this season, Etcheverry has played a lot of matches on clay and has also won lots of them. Last year at the French Open, Etcheverry reached the quarterfinals where he lost against Zverev in four tight sets. He showed us how good of a player he is, and if he can stay healthy, we believe that Etcheverry will eventually become a top 10 player. This week, Etcheverry won his first round match against Cazaux in four sets. Yesterday, Etcheverry was 0-2 down against Rinderknech. Arthur got injured, and unfortunately could not finish the match.

Casper Ruud has won six straight matches. Last week, Casper won the title in Geneva, and picked up his form right before the French Open. Here in Paris, Ruud won his first round match against Meligeni Alves in straight sets easily. Yesterday, Casper had a marathon match against Davidovich Fokina. Eventually, Casper played better under pressure and won the match in five sets.

Best Bet to Make

Etcheverry has had some serious injury problems lately. Casper Ruud was the finalist last year. He always plays his best tennis in Paris, and we believe that he will win comfortably tomorrow against Etcheverry.

That being said, Ruud covering the games handicap is a value bet.
