ATP French Open 1/16-Finals
Zhang – Tsitsipas: 31.05.2024 16:00 CEST
H2H: first meeting
Zhizhen Zhang has won four of his last five matches. Two weeks ago, Zhang surprisingly reached the quarterfinals in Rome where he lost against Tabilo in straight sets. Here in Paris, Zhang won both of his matches in four sets. In the first round, Zhang won against Vukic in four sets. Yesterday, Zhang defeated Sonego also in four sets. Last year in Paris, Zhang also reached the third round, which is still his biggest result. He lost last year against Ruud in four tight sets.
Stefanos Tsitsipas has won four of his last five matches. Stefanos is one of the biggest favorites to win the French Open this year. Last week, Tsitsipas was defeated by Jarry in the quarterfinals of the ATP Masters 1000 in Rome. Last month, Tsitsipas had an incredible run, winning the Masters in Monte Carlo and shortly after that, reaching the final in Barcelona. Here in Paris, Tsitsipas won his first round against Fucsovics in three sets. After that, Stefanos won in four sets against Altmaier, but dominated throughout the match as we predicted.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Tsitsipas is a huge favorite to win this match. However, we believe that Zhang is in great form, and that he could keep this match really tight.
That being said, Zhang covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Korda – Alcaraz: 31.05.2024 20:15 CEST
H2H: 1-3
Sebastian Korda has won three of his last five matches. So far this season, Korda has not been consistent and had no remarkable results. Here in Paris, Korda secured his first back-to-back wins on this year’s clay swing. In the first round, Korda won easily against the French talent, Mayot. Yesterday, Korda lost his concentration in the third set, but still won 3-1 comfortably in the end. Last year in Paris, Korda lost in the second round against Ofner in straight sets.
Carlos Alcaraz has won four of his last five matches. Earlier this month, Alcaraz reached the quarterfinals in Madrid where he was defeated by Rublev in three sets. Since then, Alcaraz has been preparing for the French Open. He also had some fitness issues, so that is why he missed the ATP Masters 1000 in Rome. In his first round match, Alcaraz only lost 4 games against J.J. Wolf. He was dominant from the very start. After that, Alcaraz was struggling against De Jong, winning the match in four tight sets. Last year in Paris, Alcaraz lost against Novak Djokovic in the semifinal.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Alcaraz is a huge favorite in this matchup. However, as we watched him play in the second round, Carlos still did not look 100% ready. We are not sure how bad his injury was/is. Sebastian Korda can be a dangerous opponent, so we believe that he will keep this match tighter than the bookies think.
That being said, Korda covering the games handicap is a value bet.
