ATP French Open Best Bets Including Musetti vs Monfils

Gael Monfils French Open

ATP French Open 1/32-Finals

Etcheverry – Rinderknech: 30.05.2024 Time TBA
H2H: 1-0

Tomas Martin Etcheverry has won four of his last five matches. So far this season, Etcheverry has played a lot of matches on clay and has also won lots of them. Last year at the French Open, Etcheverry reached the quarterfinals where he lost against Zverev in four tight sets. He showed us how good of a player he is, and if he can stay healthy, we believe that Etcheverry will eventually become a top 10 player. Yesterday, Etcheverry won against Cazaux in four sets, playing under a closed roof. It was overall a very solid performance from him.

Arthur Rinderknech has won three of his last five matches. So far this season, Rinderknech has not had any remarkable results. Last week, Rinderknech reached the quarterfinals in Lyon, but eventually withdrew from the tournament. Yesterday, Rinderknech looked healthy on the court. He won against Walton in straight sets. We have to say that Walton was granted a wildcard, even though he never had any solid results on clay, so Rinderknech got lucky with the draw.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Etcheverry is the favorite in this matchup. We believe that he is overall a way better clay court player than Rinderknech. Both players played against each other earlier this month when Etcheverry won in straight sets.

That being said, Etcheverry covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Tomas Martin Etcheverry -3.5 games handicap @-1.75 @FanDuel

Monfils – Musetti: 30.05.2024 Time TBA
H2H: 1-0

Gaël Monfils has lost three of his last five matches. Monfils looks terrible on the court unfortunately. He is 37 years old, and his form has been declining for a while now. At the beginning of May, Monfils lost in the first round of the ATP Masters 1000 in Rome against Monteiro. Before that, Gael lost against Darderi in the first round of the ATP Masters 1000 in Madrid. So far this season, Monfils has played only seven matches on clay with a losing 3-4 record. However, with the help of the crowd, Monfils defeated Seyboth Wild in the first round in four sets. We still believe that his body is not competitive enough for long matches at the French Open.

Lorenzo Musetti has won four of his last five matches. Two weeks ago, Musetti lost the final at the challenger tournament in Turin against Passaro. En route to the final, Lorenzo won some matches against solid clay court players. Yesterday, Musetti dominated against Galan in three sets. It was an easy match for him. Looking at the draw, Musetti is one of the dark horses that could upset Djokovic with his playing style. Last year in Paris, Musetti reached the second week when he lost in the 1/8-Finals against Alcaraz in straight sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Musetti is just a slight favorite in this matchup. We believe that he is currently a way better clay court player in better form than Monfils.

That being said, Musetti winning is a value bet.
