ATP French Open Best Bets Including Cobolli vs Rune

Holger Rune ATP Indian Wells BNP Paribas Open

ATP French Open 1/32-Finals

Cobolli – Rune: 30.05.2024
H2H: first meeting

Flavio Cobolli has won four of his last five matches. Two weeks ago, Cobolli lost in the second round of the ATP Masters 1000 in Rome against Korda in three sets. At the beginning of the season, Cobolli reached the second week at the Australian Open, which was also his biggest success so far this season. Last week in Geneva, Cobolli played well, reaching the semifinals. En route to the semifinal, Cobolli won against Karatsev, Shelton and Shevchenko. However, Ruud defeated him in three tough sets in the semifinals. Yesterday, Cobolli won against Medjedovic in four sets as we predicted. He served well and played solid tennis overall.

Holger Rune has won three of his last five matches. So far this season, Rune did not have any remarkable results, which led to him dropping out of the top 10. The young Dane was not consistent at all this season. Two weeks ago, Rune reached the 1/ 16-Finals in Rome, where he lost against Baez in three sets. Before that, Rune also lost in the 1/16-Finals in Madrid against Griekspoor in three sets as well. So far this season, Rune did not have any remarkable results on clay. Yesterday, Rune won his first round match under a closed roof against Evans in three sets. Last year in Paris, Rune reached the quarterfinals where he lost against Ruud in four sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Cobolli is a big underdog in this match. We believe that he could be dangerous tonight considering his current form. Rune was inconsistent all year long, so we believe that Cobolli has a decent chance at winning tomorrow.

That being said, Cobolli covering the games handicap is a value bet.

De Minaur – Munar: 30.05.2024 Time TBA
H2H: 2-2

Alex de Minaur has won three of his last five matches. Being an Australian, Alex did not play much on clay throughout his career. It is safe to say that this is his least favorite surface. His biggest result this season on clay was reaching the quarterfinals in Monte Carlo, where he lost against Djokovic in straight sets. After that, de Minaur had some solid wins, such as one against Nadal in Barcelona. Here in Paris, de Minaur absolutely dominated against Michelsen and only lost three games in the first round match. Last year in Paris, de Minaur lost in the second round against Etcheverry in straight sets.

Jaume Munar has lost three of his last five matches. The Spaniard is out of form, but this is his favorite part of the season, so we believe that he can make up for his recent losses. Last week, Munar lost against Tiafoe in the first round of the ATP 250 in Lyon. Before that, Munar played in the challenger final in France where he lost against Tabilo in straight sets. It was overall a bad season for him. Yesterday, Munar won against Bautista-Agut in great fashion. Jaume played great tennis, hitting 48 winners with 34 unforced errors.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Munar is a big underdog, and we strongly disagree. We believe that he is a very solid clay court player and that he has a decent chance against de Minaur.

That being said, Munar covering the games handicap is a value bet.
