ATP French Open 1/32-Finals
Hurkacz – Nakashima: 29.05.2024 Time TBA
H2H: 0-1
Hubert Hurkacz has won four of his last five matches. Even though he does not love to play on clay, Hurkacz has had a decent clay court season so far this year. Last week, Hurkacz reached the quarterfinals in Rome where he lost against Tommy Paul in three sets. Yesterday, Hurkacz won his first round match against Mochizuki. It was a rough match for Hurkacz as he was trailing 1-2 in sets. Hubert was just making way too many unforced errors and was not consistent at all throughout the match. Last year in Paris, Hurkacz won his first two matches in five sets. In the third round, Hurkacz lost against Varillas yet again in five sets. That being said, he has played four straight matches in Paris in five sets.
Brandon Nakashima has won three of his last five matches. Last week, Nakashima played a challenger tournament in Turin where he lost against Passaro in the quarterfinals. Being an American, Nakashima rarely plays on clay. Yesterday, Nakashima defeated Moreno De Alboran in four sets. Brandon just had a bad second set. Other than that, Brandon dominated throughout the whole match. Last year in Paris, Nakashima lost in the first round against Shapovalov in 5 sets.
Best Bet to Make
Looking at the Hurkacz and his previous matches in Paris, he tends to play long and tight matches. According to the bookies, Nakashima is a big underdog in this matchup. We believe that he will keep this match tight and maybe even upset Hurkacz.
That being said, Nakashima covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Kecmanovic – Medvedev: 29.05.2024 Time TBA
H2H: 0-3
Miomir Kecmanovic has won three of his last five matches. Two weeks ago, Kecmanovic lost in the 1/16-Finals of the ATP Masters 1000 in Rome against Monteiro. Miomir did not have much success this year on the clay courts. However, he loves to play on the big stage, so we believe that he will perform better here in Paris. Yesterday, Kecmanovic won his first round match against Monteiro in four sets. He played overall a very solid match. Last year, Kecmanovic lost in the first round against Vavassori here in Paris.
Daniil Medvedev has won three of his last five matches. Earlier this month, Medvedev reached the semifinals in Madrid. After that, Medvedev reached the 1/8-Finals in Rome where he lost against Paul in straight sets. Daniil hates to play on clay, as he once said, and is usually underperforming on this surface. Yesterday, Medvedev won in the first round against Koepfer in four sets. He was upset by Seyboth Wild last year in the first round.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Kecmanovic is a big underdog in this matchup. We believe that Medvedev is not a better clay court player than Kecmanovic. We expect Kecmanovic to put up a big fight and maybe even upset Medvedev.
That being said, Kecmanovic covering the games handicap is a value bet.
