ATP Madrid Best Bets Including Tabilo vs Cobolli

Alejandro Tabilo BNP Paribas Open-Day 6

ATP Madrid 1/64-Finals

Tabilo – Cobolli: 25.04.2024 11:00 CEST
H2H: first meeting

Alejandro Tabilo has won three of his last five matches. The Chilean recently made his top 50 debut and currently holds his career-high ranking of 38. Last week, Tabilo reached the semifinals in Bucharest where he lost against Fucsovics in straight sets. Earlier this season, Tabilo also reached the final at the ATP Santiago where he lost against Baez in three tough sets. The Chilean is a great clay court player, even though he plays aggressive tennis. At the beginning of this season, Tabilo won his first ever ATP title in Auckland, where he won in the final against Daniel in straight sets. This has been an amazing season for him so far, and we believe that there is still room for improvement.

Flavio Cobolli has lost three straight matches. He had the pleasure of playing against Nadal last week in Barcelona. Cobolli looked scared and lost easily in straight sets against the best player to ever play on the clay courts. Before that match, Cobolli lost against Nagal at the Monte Carlo qualifications. He is still looking for some decent results this season. Cobolli has played only four matches on the clay this season. He has a losing 1-3 record so far.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Tabilo is considered to be a slight favorite in this match. We believe that he should be a way bigger favorite in this match considering his current form. He is a better clay court player and in better form than Cobolli right now.

That being said, Cobolli winning is a value bet.

Kovacevic – Medjedovic: 25.04.2024 15:30 CEST
H2H: first meeting

Aleksandar Kovacevic has won three of his last five matches. He had to fight throughout the two qualification rounds to get into the main draw here in Madrid. He got lucky with the draw and won against both opponents who were out of the top 100. Before those matches, Kovacevic played two tournaments on the clay this season. His first one was in Houston where he reached the 1/8-Finals. After that, Kovacevic lost in the first round at ATP Bucharest against Albot in the first round as we predicted.

Hamad Medjedovic has lost three of his last five matches. He also had to fight throughout the two qualification rounds to get into the main draw. Medjedovic won both of his matches against solid clay court players, Gaston and Comesana. He was injured for the most part of this season, so he did not play a lot of matches. However, Medjedovic looked fit in the qualification tournament.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Medjedovic is a slight favorite in this matchup. We believe that he is a way better clay court player than Kovacevic. Medjedovic had one of his biggest results on the clay. Kovacevic grew up in the States, and did not have any remarkable results on the clay.

That being said, Medjedovic winning is a value bet.
