ATP Bucharest 1/8-Finals
Kecmanovic – Martinez: 18.04.2024 09:30 CEST
H2H: first meeting
Miomir Kecmanovic has lost three out of the last five games. The last match he played was yesterday against Goffin. He fought for over two hours and won in three tough sets. Both players made many unforced errors, and it also was not a fun match to watch. He played only 4 matches this season on clay and won only 2 of them. Before ATP Bucharest, Kecmanovic played in Monte Carlo. He lost there in the second round against Dimitrov in straight sets. Overall, this season, Kecmanovic did not have any success. He is yet to reach the semifinal at any level. The last time Kecmanovic had consecutive wins was in February at the ATP Acapulco.
Pablo Martinez won his first round match also in three sets. He won against Taberner after playing for almost three hours. Before ATP Bucharest, Pablo Martinez played in Estoril where he reached the final. This was one of the biggest tournaments of his career. He won against Casper Ruud in the semifinal in Estoril. Martinez is now on the verge of breaking into the top 50. Before ATP Estoril, Martinez won the challenger title in Girona on the clay court. He has won 10 out of the last 11 matches played on clay.
Best Bet to Make
Pablo Martinez is in great clay court form. He played three tournaments this season on clay. His first tournament was ATP Santiago, where he reached the semifinals. After that, Martinez won the challenger title in Girona. The last tournament was ATP Estoril, where he reached the final.
That being said, Martinez winning is a value bet.

Fucsovics – Griekspoor: 18.04.2024 10:00 CEST
H2H: 2-0
Marton Fucsovics won three out of the last five matches he played. Last week, Fucsovics reached the quarterfinal in Estoril. That was also his first clay court tournament of the season. Yesterday, Fucsovics won his first round match against Vacherot in straight sets. He served well, and once he adapted to the surface, Fucsovics was unplayable in the second set. He loves to play on clay, and some of his biggest wins came off of clay.
Talon Griekspoor lost three out of the last five matches he played. He played only one clay court tournament this week, and that was in Monte Carlo last week. Alex de Minaur defeated him there in the second round. Griekspoor reached the semifinals in Rotterdam earlier this year. Other than that, Griekspoor did not have any remarkable results so far this season. He loves to play on the fast courts, so we believe that he will need some time to adapt to the surface, here in Bucharest.
Best Bet to Make
All being said, we believe that Fucsovics is currently a better clay court player. He has played more matches on the clay so far, and he has also won more matches as well. Fucsovics also won both head-to-head matches, and we expect that he will win in their third meeting as well.
That being said, Fucsovics winning is a value bet.
