Karen Khachanov played a very solid first two matches, here in Monte Carlo. In the first round, Khachanov won against Norrie in two tight sets after playing for over 2 hours. Today, in the second round, Khachanov played another long match against Cerundolo, where he won in three sets as we predicted. Khachanov did not have much success on the clay courts throughout his career. However, he showed promising tennis in Monte Carlo, and he might have a chance against Medvedev tomorrow.
Daniil Medvedev openly said that he hates clay. However, he looked good in his first clay court match of the season. Medvedev won 6-2 6-4 against Monfils, who looked exhausted on the court. We can say that Medvedev was not that great, it was rather Monfils who did not look ready on the court. Before Monte Carlo, Medvedev played his last clay court tournament at the French Open last year when he lost in the first round against Seyboth Wild.

According to the bookies, Khachanov is the underdog in this matchup. We believe that he might have a chance against Medvedev, who did not have much success on the clay. Khachanov showed promising tennis, and we believe that they will play a very tight match tomorrow.
