Andrey Rublev has not played any matches in the last two weeks! He lost in both Indian Wells and Miami Masters pretty soon! Rublev is not in his best form. He lost three out of the last five matches. We believe that he will do more on the clay court this season. Last time he played a clay court match was last year in Hamburg! Before that tournament, Rublev won the ATP Bastad, winning against Zverev, Ruud and many other great clay court players! Even though he has an aggressive playing style, Rublev loves to play on the clay courts.
Alexei Popyrin has had a decent season thus far. He already had to play his first round match, here in Monte Carlo. Popyrin won against Moutet after playing for almost three hours! Popyrin had 51 winners with only 18 unforced errors, which is incredible! He lost his serve twice in the first set. After that, it seemed that he had finally adapted to the surface! In the second and third sets, Popyrin did not lose his serve. He stepped up his level and came back from being set down! Popyrin is also a heavy hitter, but he also had some success on the clay courts! Before this match, his last match was at the Umag Open where he won the title, winning against Wawrinka in the final!
Prediction
All being said, we believe that Popyrin could do something against Rublev. He is in good form, and he played a great match in the first round. Rublev did not play for a long time on the clay court surface, so we believe that he needs time to adapt! Popyrin to cover games handicap is a value bet!

Alejandro Tabilo has had a great season thus far. Earlier this year, Tabilo won his first title of the season in Auckland! Here, in Monte Carlo, Tabilo won in straight sets against O’Connell! It was not his best performance, but he won in the end! He had 21 winners with 20 unforced errors. He has already played a decent number of matches on the clay surface, so that should help him tonight!
Casper Ruud played last week in Estoril. He lost in the semifinal against Pablo Martinez! Before that tournament, the last clay court tournament Ruud played was last year in Hamburg. He lost two finals this year already! Other than that, Ruud has not had any big results this season so far.
Prediction
According to the bookies, Tabilo is a big underdog against Ruud! We can not agree with that. Tabilo is a great clay court player, and we believe that he has a decent chance against Ruud! Casper Ruud did not play his best tennis in Estoril. That being said, we believe that Tabilo will cover handicap games tonight!
