WTA Bogota Day 4 Predictions including Laura Siegemund vs Francesca Jones

Laura Siegemund US Open

WTA Bogota Day 4 has some great second round matches in store. The top two seeds have been going strong so far; will they get through into the quarterfinal or is an upset on the cards? We have picked four matches in this article to focus on and our thoughts

WTA Bogota Day four

Marie Bouzkova vs Hailey Baptiste

Head to Head: First meeting

Marie Bouzkova is the top seed here and eased through the first round. The Czech player only dropped three games in the first round. American Hailey Baptiste battled through the first round and needed to go the distance to progress. Baptiste made a semi final in February in Puerto Vallarta, whereas Bouzkova has not gone any further than the second round in recent events.
Prediction: Bouzkova in 3

Camilla Osorio vs Anca Todoni

Head to Head: First Meeting

Camilla Osorio is the sixth seed and faces qualifier Anca Todoni in the second round. The Colombian had a fairly easy first round against another qualifier and will have high hopes against the Romanian. Todoni made the main draw and battled hard into the second round. In recent events Todoni has only made the second round once, at an ITF event in Finland.
Prediction: Osorio in 2

Tatjana Maria vs Julia Riera

Head to Head: First Meeting

Tatjana Maria is the second seed here in Bogota. The German has suffered early exits in the recent events, the last being in the Miami Open where she lost in the first round. Maria is the defending champion here too so has a lot of points at stake. Julia Reira will be looking for the upset here and the Argentine eased through the first round to get here. Reira failed to qualify for Miami and Indian Wells so needs a good run in a main tour event.
Prediction: Maria in 2

Laura Siegemund vs Francesca Jones

Head to Head: First Meeting

Laura Siegemund is the seventh seed here. The German had a real fight on her hands in the first round. Although the match was straight sets, both sets were very tight. One was a tiebreak, the other was very nearly a tiebreak but Siegemund broke at the end of the second set to prevent that. Francesca Jones, on the other hand, eased through the first round. The Brit is coming in off the back of some great results in ITF events and was the runner up in Mexico at the end of March.
Prediction: Jones in 2
