ATP Houston 250 1/16-Finals
Ajdukovic – Nakashima: 01.04.2024 20:00 CEST
H2H: first meeting
Duje Ajdukovic is on a 3-game losing streak. His last win was more than one month ago. Croatians love to play on the clay court. However, the surface in Houston is clay, but a really fast clay court. Players who are outside the States usually need more time to adapt to the surface. His opponent, Brandon Nakashima, had a great season thus far. The young American played a lot of challenging matches this season to gain his self-confidence back. He has won one title and played one final at the challenger tour level. Nakashima is a hard-court player like every American. As we already mentioned, the surface in Houston is very fast, so this will help him a lot! All being said, we believe that Nakashima will play better on this surface. He has had a solid season thus far, and we believe that he will win easily against Ajdukovic given the circumstances.
Value bet/ the best odds: Nakashima to win 2-0 @1.91 @bet365
Galan – Paire: 02.04.2024 Time TBA
H2H: first meeting
Daniel Elahi Galan had a decent chance in Miami against Shevchenko last week. He almost made it to the second round of the main draw. Other than that, Galan has been playing a lot on the clay court this season. He is a clay court player with a big serve and a big forehand, so this kind of surface is perfect for him! Galan had already had some big wins this season, such as one against Schwartzman in Buenos Aires. His opponent, Benoit Paire, did not play any clay court matches this year. Paire has lost 5 out of the last 6 matches and is completely out of form. We believe that Galan will show how good he is on such a surface and dominate against Paire. Benoit Paire played most of this season at the challenger tour level, and it is obvious that his form is decreasing. That being said, Galan to win is a value bet!
Value bet/ the best odds: Galan to win @1.50 @bet365
Mmoh – Varillas: 02.04.2024 Time TBA
H2H: first meeting
Michael Mmoh is on a 4-game losing streak. He has only had 6 wins this season so far. Last time Moham played on the clay court was last year at the French Open. It has been a long time since then. His opponent, Varillas, is a clay court specialist from Peru. Varillas has played almost all of his matches this season on the clay. It is good to mention that he played most of his matches in South America, where the clay court surface is almost the exact same, like here, in Houston. He also won one challenger title this season, in Santiago, on clay. Varillas has won 11 out of his last 13 matches. He is in great form, and we believe that he will win easily against Mmoh. Varillas played too many matches and also won too many matches on the clay! Mmoh needs time to adapt to the surface, and we believe that Varillas will just be too big of a challenge for him!
Value bet/ the best odds: Varillas to win @1.57 @bet365
