WTA Miami Best Bets Including Ekaterina Alexandrova vs Jessica Pegula

Ekaterina Alexandrova in action ahead of the WTA Seoul Open.

WTA Miami quarter-finals

Garcia – Collins: 27.03.2024 18:00 CEST
H2H: 0-3

Caroline Garcia is playing well again! Before Miami, she had only one win in the last 4 tournaments. She looked insecure on the court, and she just was not playing well! Garcia has two big wins already in the tournament thus far. In the 1/16-Finals, Garcia won against Osaka in two tough sets. After that, Garcia had to play against Gauff and the crowd! Garcia handled the pressure well and managed to save 5 out of 7 breakpoints. She played great defensively and was waiting for Gauff to make unforced errors. It was a similar tactic against Osaka as well. She will face Danielle Collins tonight, who is playing her best tennis at the moment. Collins won in the 1/8-Finals against Cirstea in two sets as we predicted! Since losing the first set in the first round against Pera, Collins has won 8 easy sets in a row! Collins announced that this is her last season, and she is making the most of it! She saved all three break points against Cirstea. Other than that, Collins served brilliantly! Garcia and Collins played three times against each other. Collins won all three meetings convincingly. We believe that she will have another great performance tonight, and we will back Collins once again!

Alexandrova – Pegula: 28.03.2024 00:00 CEST
H2H: 0-1

Ekaterina Alexandrova did what we thought was impossible. She won against Swiatek in straight sets! Her aggressive tennis paid off!  Alexandrova only had to save one break point. Her serve was amazing! Before that match, Alexandrova won against Vekic in straight sets. Pavlyuchenkova gave her some problems, but Alexandrova stayed calm under the pressure and won in three sets. Last year, Alexandrova also had a perfect tournament, here in Miami. She also played in the quarter-finals where she lost to Petra Kvitova. Her opponent tonight, Jessica Pegula, had to come back from 1-4 down in the first set. She won in straight sets and eventually against Navarro. Pegula could not find the rhythm at the beginning of the match and was just making way too many unforced errors. In the last two years, Pegula played both times in the semi-finals. Two weeks ago, Pegula lost in the 1/32Finals at Indian Wells. She played that match terribly. However, she is now on a 3-game winning streak and is yet to lose a set in Miami. Before the match against Navarro, Pegula played against Leylah Fernandez. She won that match also in straight sets, but it was a big fight! Pegula struggled with her serve and was not consistent as she normally is. Tonight will be a tough match for both players. Pegula has played good tennis so far in Miami. However, Alexandrova played out of this world against Swiatek. We believe that she can not repeat the same performance, but if she could be at least close to it, Pegula would have big problems. That being said, we have to go with Alexandrova winning tonight. She was just so good against Swiatek. That being said, Alexandrova winning tonight is a value bet!
