Her opponent, Volynets, had to fight herself throughout the qualifications to get into the main draw. She won both qualification round matches in three sets. Volynets also won her first main draw round in three sets. We believe that Paolini is in better form and more rested than Volynets. Paolini is overall a better player at the moment, and we expect her to break into the top 10 soon! That being said, Paolini winning is a value bet!

Timofeeva struggled a lot in February when she did not win a single match. She was also fighting with an injury as well. Timofeeva had to play two qualification rounds in order to get into the main draw! She won both qualification rounds 6-2 6-1. In the first round, Timofeeva won against Gracheva in straight sets as we predicted! Her opponent, Noskova, played in the Australian Open quarter-final this year. After that, Noskova was not consistent. She had some wins and some losses, but overall did not play her best tennis. Timofeeva is the underdog in this match. However, given her current form and how well she played here in Miami, we believe that she will cover the games handicap! Timofeeva looked comfortable on her serve and, considering how fast the surface is, this would be a big weapon for her!
