ATP Miami 1/32-Finals
Koepfer – Baez: 22.03.2024 17:30 CEST
H2H: first meeting
Dominik Koepfer has had a decent season thus far. Koepfer has won one challenger title this year already in Canberra. He had some big wins against big players such as Tiafoe, Maroszan, Goffin and yesterday against Giron. Koepfer is a German player, but he basically grew up playing in the States under conditions such as this one in Miami. His opponent, Baez, is a clay court specialist. He spent most of this season playing on the clay courts in South America. He returned to the States two weeks ago where he played in Indian Wells. He managed to win against Fognini in the first round but got absolutely dominated against Fritz in the second round. Baez has not defeated a top 50 player on hard courts since last August. We believe that this trend will continue as he is really struggling on the hard court. Koepfer plays better under such conditions, and we believe that he will win easily!
Value bet/ the best odds: Koepfer to win @1.62 @bet365
Shapovalov – Tsitsipas: 22.03.2024 17:30 CEST
H2H: 5-2
Denis Shapovalov is getting slowly but surely to his best days. He needs a good result here to get back into the top 100. Shapovalov won against Darderi here in the first round in three hard-fought sets. His opponent, Tsitsipas, is seeded and did not have to play the first round. Tsitsipas lost his last match to Lehecka in straight sets in Indian Wells. He played poorly in that match and fumbled under pressure. Conditions in Miami are perfect for Shapovalov as he loves to play on the fast, hard court. His huge serve will definitely be a big advantage here. Tsitsipas needs more time for his backhand preparation, and we believe that if Shapovalov uses his advantage because he is a lefty, he should win many rallies with his forehand across court! That being said, Shapovalov covering the games handicap is a value bet, and you should go for it!
Value bet/ the best odds: Shapovalov +2.5 games handicap @1.91 @bet365
Seyboth Wild – Fritz: 22.03.2024 20:00 CEST
H2H: first meeting
Seyboth Wild played good tennis this season. He had a perfect tournament in Indian Wells earlier this month. Seyboth Wild won both qualification rounds in straight sets. After that, he managed to win against J.J. Wolf and Khacanov in straight sets! Here, in Miami, Seyboth started the same! He won both qualification rounds easily. In the first round, Seyboth won 2-0 against Borges. His opponent, Fritz, won his first title of this season in Delray Beach one month ago. After that, he had 2 wins and 2 losses. Fritz has not been playing his best tennis since then! At Indian Wells, Fritz lost 1-2 against Rune in the 1/8-Finals. As we already mentioned earlier, the surface is really fast. Seyboth Wild is a huge underdog in this match. If he can repeat his first round performance, we believe that he will easily cover the games handicap. Seyboth just needs his serve and forehand to work and if he does so, this should not be a problem!
Value bet/ the best odds: Seyboth Wild +4.5 games handicap @1.67 @bet365
