WTA Miami Day 3 Predictions Including Caroline Wozniacki vs Anhelina Kalinina

WTA Miami Day 3 Predictions

Madison Keys vs Diana Shnaider

Head-to-Head: First Meeting

In an American event, the crowd will be behind Madison Keys, wanting their home player to win. Keys is only playing her second event of the season. Indian Wells saw her in a close first match that she won. However, despite being seeded, she couldn’t follow that up in the second round. Diana Shnaider defeated Venus Williams in the last round, so she definitely won’t be a fan favourite. This will make this a tough match for the Russian.

Prediction: Keys in 3

Anna Kalinskaya vs Xiyu Wang

Head-to-Head: First Meeting

Anna Kalinskaya started the season well, with a quarterfinal in Australia. From there she made the Dubai final after an impressive win over the top seed Iga Swiatek. She has not been able to replicate that form since, though. Xiyu Wang made the final of the 250 event in Texas, but that is as far as she has managed this season. Nothing else has been the same, and the Chinese has found things tough going.

Prediction: Kalinskaya in 3

Katie Boulter vs Brenda Fruhvirtova

Head-to-Head: First Meeting

Katie Boulter is seeing a resurgence in her form. The Brit won her first WTA 500 title at the start of this month in San Diego. Boulter was unseeded at the time and knocked out the second, seventh, third and sixth seeds. Indian Wells saw her lose in the first round, but that was only two days after her title so could be expected. Brenda Fruhvirtova has not played on the main tour since the Australian Open so is a little hard to read right now. However, a convincing straight set win in the first round gives an indication where she is form wise.

Prediction: Boulter in 3

Caroline Wozniacki vs Anhelina Kalinina

Head-to-Head: First Meeting

Caroline Wozniacki is a firm fan favourite. The Dane is also on good form, having made the quarterfinal in Indian Wells before retiring in the second set. Hopefully Wozniacki has recovered from that and can replicate her form here at WTA Miami. Anhelina Kalinina has suffered early exits this season so far. The Ukrainian is seeded, but will have difficulty here again.

Prediction: Wozniacki in 2
