WTA Miami 1/64-Finals
Bronzetti – Townsend: 19.03.2024 19:00 CEST
H2H: first meeting
Lucia Bronzetti played last week in the Indian Wells main draw. She had two really solid wins in the main draw. In the 1/16-Finals, Bronzetti lost against Gauff in straight sets. Her opponent, Townsend, had to fight throughout the qualifications to play in the main draw in Miami. Townsend served really well in her last match against the Bektas. She had 10 aces and a 75% 1st serve percentage. Townsend did a lot of serve and volley, which was a perfect tactic in that match. We expect a tough match tonight for both players. Townsend will probably serve well yet again. Her return game is not good, so we will probably not see many breaks. We may also see three sets tonight. If not, we expect at least two tough sets with possible tiebreaks. That being said, over 22.5 games in this match is a value bet!

Cristian – Parry: 19.03.2024 20:30 CEST
H2H: 1-0
Jaqueline Cristian played a perfect tournament last month in Cluj, where she reached the semi-finals. Since then, Cristian has only won one match against Gadecki in three sets. She played challenger in Charleston last week when she lost in the second round against Shnaider in two easy sets. Her opponent, Parry, had a great tournament in Indian Wells last week. Parry won against some perfect players such as Fernandez and Blinkova. Eventually, Parry lost in the 1/8 -Finals against Sakkari in three sets. Parry showed promising tennis and is a player to watch this week. We believe that she is in better form and that she will win against Cristian easily tonight!

Halep – Badosa: 19.03.2024 21:00 CEST
H2H: 2-0
Simona Halep is back after being out for almost 2 years. Her initial four-year sentence has been reduced to nine months. The former world number 1 will be playing her first match since her US Open 2022 first round loss to Snigur. Halep said that she kept training hard waiting for her comeback. It is hard to expect anything from her after such a long competitive break. Her opponent, Paula Badosa, did not play much this year. She had a pretty bad injury last year when she missed almost half of last season. In those matches she played this year, Badosa looked well. The question remains if she is ready for a big tournament such as this one. The bookies are putting Halep as a favorite in this matchup. We believe that this is nonsense. We already mentioned that Badosa was injured and did not play much. However, we saw at least something from her. Halep was out for almost two years, and it will definitely be hard for her to get back at the competitive level that quickly. We believe that Badosa will win tonight. Halep will still be a little bit rusty as she needs more time to come back at the best level!
Value bet/ the best odds: Badosa to win @2.10 @bet365
