ATP Indian Wells Quarterfinal Predictions Including Iga Swiatek vs Caroline Wozniacki

Iga Swiatek has withdrawn from the WTA Berlin Open.

We’re now down to the last eight at WTA Indian Wells, and the party is getting hotter with four high-stakes matches in the cards. The day is paced by the highly anticipated match between the top seed Swiatek and the former world No. 1 Wozniacki. As always, we at LWOT have the preview and prediction for that match and all happenings around the grounds of Indian Wells. But who will advance to the semis?

ATP Indian Wells Quarterfinal Predictions

Anastasia Potapova vs Marta Kostyuk

Head-to-Head: Potapova 2-0 Kostyuk

Anastasia Potapova has played better with each match at WTA Indian Wells. She displayed tremendous resilience to stop the Jasmine Paolini rollercoaster in the third round despite being bageled along the way. Her confidence will be heightened knowing she hasn’t lost to Kostyuk in two previous encounters, and she will be motivated to make it to the quarterfinals for the first time. The Russian has found her rhythm and should advance to the semis.

Prediction: Potapova in 3

Coco Gauff vs Yue Yuan

Head-to-Head: First Meeting

Coco Gauff hasn’t lost a set after losing her very first one at WTA Indian Wells to Clara Burel. She clinically dispatched Lucia Bronzetti before crushing Elise Mertens to set up this terrific quarterfinal bout against the in-form Yue Yuan. The Chinese player is on a nine-match streak. She won’t be short on confidence going into this one. However, Gauff should have enough in her to continue the quest for the title in front of her home fans.

Maria Sakkari vs Emma Navarro

Head-to-Head: Sakkari 1-1 Navarro

Emma Navarro repelled Aryna’s Sabalenka’s comeback to secure an impressive win over the world No. 2. It was her third consecutive match that went the distance, but she showed no signs of fatigue to move to 18-5 on the season. Standing in her way from a semifinal berth at WTA Indian Wells is Maria Sakkari, who was the runner-up here in 2022. They’ve traded their two head-to-head encounters, but I’ll back the American who has shown more grit and resilience this week.

Prediction: Navarro in 3

Iga Swiatek vs Caroline Wozniacki

Head-to-Head: Swiatek 1 vs 0 Wozniacki

This is the marquee matchup of the quarterfinals, and it promises to be nothing short of fireworks. Top seed and overwhelming favorite Iga Swiatek faces a veteran of the sport. Caroline Wozniacki has reminded everyone of her former No. 1 status with some scintillating tennis in the Californian desert. In this high-stakes match, the form books and pedigrees are out as this match promises to go down the wire. In their only previous encounter, the Pole edged out Wozniacki on the hard courts of Toronto four years ago.

Wozniacki possesses everything to pose a stern challenge, but it won’t be enough to upset an opponent who is, the most dominant player on the WTA tour. Swiatek will be breathing fire and will consummate the win quickly.

Prediction: Swiatek in 2
