Casper Ruud played the final last week in Acapulco where he lost against de Minaur in straight sets. He looked kinda tired in the first match in Indian Wells. Ruud won in straight sets against Klein, but struggled on his serve. His serve was not broken once in this match, but there were many tight games where he could have lost his serve. His opponent, Fils, had a pretty good run thus far. Fils won both matches in straight sets against respectable opponents. In his second round, Fils did an amazing job against the 23rd seed, Davidovich Fokina. His serve was almost perfect, and he looked comfortable on the court. The bookies are favoring Ruud for this match. We believe that Fils should not be such an underdog considering his last two matches. Fils did play poorly earlier this season, but it was on the clay courts and that is something else. We believe that Fils will put up a big fight and be a big challenge for Ruud. He might lose, but it will definitely be a tight match.

Taylor Fritz did not play many matches this year. In the matches he played though, he was perfect. Fritz won a title 3 weeks ago in Delray Beach. He did not drop a single set in the tournament as he played his best tennis. In Indian Wells, he won against Tabilo in straight sets in a match where he did not start really well, but picked up his game in the second set. His opponent, Baez, won the title last week in Santiago where he played on the clay court. Baez is a clay court specialist, so it is not a wonder he decided to play in Chile, instead of preparing in the States for Indian Wells. Fun fact, both players played last year in Indian Wells against each other. Fritz won 6-1 6-2 in a match where he completely dominated. We believe that Fritz is a way better hard easily player and that he will win today easily as well!

Adrian Mannarino played an almost perfect match in the second round of Indian Wells. He won against Machac 6-1 6-2. Mannarino saved all breakpoints. His return game was perfect. This kind of surface is his favorite surface, which we saw as well. His opponent, Dimitrov, also played a perfect match in the first round against Muller. Dimitrov started off a little bit slower in this match. He was on the verge of losing the first set. Grigor picked up his game in the second set and won easily in straight sets. Bookies are predicting Mannarino as a huge underdog for this match. We believe that he played too well in the second round to be such an underdog. His tennis was perfect, and we believe that he will have a decent chance against Dimitrov. That being said, Mannarino to cover games handicap is a value bet!
