ATP Sofia Quarterfinal Predictions including Jack Draper vs Cem Ilkel

Jack Draper US OPEN

The quarterfinals are set at the ATP 250 in Sofia with some interesting and unexpected matchups. Here we look at the four quarterfinal matches due on court on Day 4.

ATP Sofia quarter finals

Jan-Lennard Struff vs Fabian Marozsan

Head to Head: First meeting

Struff as the third seed was pushed in the second round by Brit Billy Harris. The ranking disparity was large, but Harris has been improving will lately, so the German would have been surprised by the effort needed to get beyond the Brit. Struff now though, will have the confidence that he can go much further. Marozsan needed three sets in the second round to reach this stage and is yet to face a seeded player. This will be a touch match for the Hungarian.
Prediction: Struff in 3

Sebastian Ofner vs Adrian Mannarino

Head to Head: Ofner 0-1 Mannarino

The only all seeds match in the quarter final. Second seed Frenchman Mannarino is the highest ranked player left in the competition and will be striving to win the title and claim his third title of the season. Austrian seventh seed Ofner has to fight to get to this stage, both previous matches going the distance. While the second seed has moved on in straight sets instead of expending energy.
Prediction: Ofner in 3

Marton Fucsovics vs Pavel Kotov

Head to Head: First meeting

Eighth seed Fucsovics hasn’t had an easy ride to this point. Rodionov pushed the Hungarian the distance in the last round before the seed got through with a dominating final set. Once again, Kotov was on course for a second three set match here but the fourth seed retired with the match tied. However, Kotov was not expected to make this stage so has nothing to lose now in this match.
Prediction: Fucsovics in 2
