WTA Jiangxi Day 3
Vera Zvonareva vs Diana Shnaider
Head-to-head: first meeting
Vera Zvonareva dominated herfirst round match, barely putting a foot wrong as she dismissed Ariane Hartono for the loss of only three games reach the second round. Diana Shnaider excelled in the first round, dispatching the fifth seed and home hope Zhu Lin in straight sets and for the loss of only four games. An all Russian tie, expect the youngster to have the edge over Zvonareva, who appears to have regressed slightly this year.
Prediction: Shnaider in 2

Camila Osorio vs Sara Sorribes Tormo
Head-to-head: Sorribes Tormo 1-0 Osorio
Columbian Camila Osorio had a fairly easy first round match, dropping only one game against Ma YeXin of China to set up this meeting with Sara Sorribes Tormo. The Spanish eighth seed needed to work slightly hard to get through her first round opponent Jiang Xinyu, though she was still a very comfortable 6-4 6-0 winner. As the seeded player, and with a head-to-head advantage, Sorribes Tormo should have enough to overcome the Columbian and make it two wins from two against Osorio.
Prediction: Sorribes Tormo in 3
Nao Hibino vs Kimberly Birrell
Head-to-head: Hibino 1-1 Birrell
Japanese Nao Hibino stunned the top seed Beatriz Haddad Maia in the first round at the WTA Jiangxi Open. A straight sets win was certainly not in the script. Australian Kimberly Birrell, meanwhile, edged through her first round to set up a third meeting between this par. Both previous meetings have gone the distance. This looks like another even contest on paper, but though it was Birrell who came out on top when they met earlier this year, Hibino will surely be full of confidence after beating Haddad Maia in the first round.
Prediction: Hibino in 3
Marie Bouzkova vs Amina Anshba
Head-to-head: first meeting
Czech third seed Marie Bouzkova had little difficulty in the first round, losing only two games in a comprehensive win over the Lichtensteiner Kathinka von Deichman. Amina Anshba lost in the final round of qualifying but secured a lucky loser spot and he Russian then took full advantage, battling hard in the first round against to make it past her compatriot Elina Avanesyan. But this looks like a tall order. Bouzkova should take this comfortably.
Prediction: Bouzkova in 2
