ATP Cincinnati Day 2 Predictions Including Alexander Zverev vs Grigor Dimitrov

Grigor Dimitrov BNP Paribas Open-Day 12

Day 2 of the ATP Masters 1000 in Cincinnati will feature ten matches, including a scintillating encounter between Alexander Zverev and Grigor Dimitrov. As always, we here at LWOT will predict every match for you. Who do you think will win?

ATP Cincinnati Day 2 Predictions

Nicolas Jarry vs Roman Safiullin

Jarry has been pretty impressive at times this year, but his consistency isn’t where he would probably want it. Then again, Safiullin hasn’t been at his breakout best since early 2022. On a hard court Safiullin’s game is probably better when it’s clicking, but it just doesn’t click well so often. Jarry is by far the safer pick, though this could be a great match if both players are on.
Prediction: Jarry in 2

Dan Evans vs Lorenzo Musetti

Evans won the title in Washington, D.C. two weeks ago. He lost in the first round in Toronto last week, but that’s understandable due to fatigue. Assuming he’s anywhere near his Washington-winning form, he should be able to get past Musetti, no matter how well the Italian is playing.
Prediction: Evans in 3

Alexander Zverev vs Grigor Dimitrov

Dimitrov is playing pretty well right now, assuming he’s healthy, but Zverev seems to be finding his pre-injury form. He peaked at the French Open and hasn’t looked as dominant since, but the serve is still brutal and the ground game will be very tough for Dimitrov to catch up to. It seems like Dimitrov’s time as a potential elite has passed, even if he performs impressively once in a while.
Prediction: Zverev in 3
