ATP Madrid Day 4 Best Bets Including Rafael Nadal

Rafael Nadal June 3rd 2021 French Open

A full slate of men’s matches is on offer on Wednesday with the remainder of the second-round matches being played out at the ATP Madrid Masters. Let’s see where we can find some value.

ATP Madrid Day 4 Best Bets

Roberto Bautista Agut vs Daniel Evans

Bautista Agut did not quite deliver on my bet on him yesterday but simply because he was too good against Brooksby and dismantled him in fewer games than I expected. Evans did win his first-round match but outside of his freak run to the Monte Carlo semifinals, he has shown little in terms of clay pedigree. Betting Bautista Agut to win again in straight sets is good value here as he looks undervalued to me for the moneyline and including the set prop helps us maximize on this.

Recommended selection:
Bautista Agut 2-0 – 1.5 units @ -111 (1.9, 9/10)

Diego Schwartzman vs Grigor Dimitrov

Schwartzman has been in good form recently with a Monte Carlo quarterfinal and Barcelona semifinal on his recent resumé as well as two finals in the Golden swing. Dimitrov has reached the quarterfinals in Madrid before but his recent results in Madrid have not been impressive. His first-round win over Maxime Cressy was his first since 2017. Schwartzman is the 8th best player on clay over the past 12 months according to tennisabstract.com’s Elo rating and with Dimitrov not really being a threat here, I would expect the line to be more around the -350 area, giving us value here. We also offer a more more detailed preview of this match.

Recommended selection:
Schwartzman ML – 2 units @ -189 (1.53, 53/100)

Rafael Nadal vs Miomir Kecmanovic

Nadal, a five-time champion in Madrid, is one of the biggest favorites for the title. The 35-year-old may not have had the best time here in recent years, not reaching the final since 2017, he has been largely dominant in the early rounds. In all six of his second and third-round matches here in the past three years, Nadal has won and would have hit the under 20.5 games I have picked here. Kecmanovic has enjoyed a great season but I doubt that he is ready to challenge Nadal in the form that he shows in early Madrid rounds.

Recommended selection:
Nadal ML + under 20.5 games – 1.5 units @ +105 (2.05, 21/20)

My Best Bets record so far: 10 units returned 13.84 including stake.

Recommended selections are based on a 5-unit betting system where 1 unit is a minimum stake, and 5 units is the maximum stake.
