The final at ATP Belgrade pits Serbia’s favorite son Novak Djokovic against Andrey Rublev. Here is your look at the championship match.
Novak Djokovic vs Andrey Rublev
The top two seeds have advanced to the final, Djokovic has dropped the opening set of every match he’s played this week, but fellow Serbs Laslo Djere, Miomir Kecmanovic, and Karen Khachanov, Rublev’s countryman, were unable to defeat him from a set up. Djere managed to get the match to tiebreaks in sets 2 and 3 but lost both tiebreaks. Rublev dropped a set to qualifier Jiri Lehecka, then defeated Taro Daniel and Fabio Fognini in straight sets. Djokovic will have all the support and is of course an elite player, he’s looked rusty though, and Rublev is enjoying these conditions, and the venue. The Russian is playing better and would love to deny Djokovic a home title and win this one for himself. Rublev in 3
