We get an all-qualifier final for WTA Bogota with Laura Pigossi vs Tatjana Maria. Here is your look at the final match from Colombia.
Laura Pigossi vs Tatjana Maria
Both players qualified to get this far, and thus have had a long week. Maria dropped a set in her first qualifying match but hasn’t dropped one since, Kamilla Rakhimova managed just four games off Maria in the semifinal. It’s the first final for Maria since 2018, where she won her first title in her only WTA finals appearance (Mallorca on grass). The former top 50 player takes on Laura Pigossi who is yet to break the top 150, the Brazilian upset top seed and home favorite Colombian Maria Osorio in the semifinals in two tight sets. She’s dropped sets in two matches this week, and this match will be the biggest of her career. When two qualifiers make a final it shows anything is possible, Maria’s experience should result in her victory though. Maria in 2
