WTA Indian Wells Day 4 Predictions Including Maria Sakkari vs Katerina Siniakova

Maria Sakkari in action at the WTA Grampians Trophy

The WTA Indian Wells, BNP Paribas Open, continues with round 2 action featuring the likes of Daria Saville and Maria Sakkari. We have predictions for every match on Saturday from the sunny Southern California desert.

Amanda Anisimova vs Leylah Fernandez

Anisimova started her year with eight straight wins, the trouble is she’s just 3-3 since then, but did play well to open her account at Indian Wells. This is the first meeting between these players, Fernandez won Monterrey last time out, her best result of the season. Anisimova is capable, but Fernandez looks stronger between this pair. Elena Rybakina vs Alison Van Uytvanck

Rybakina won both meetings between this pair, the Adelaide finalist had a record number of wins last season and is making big improvements. Van Uytvanck was a quarterfinalist in Lyon, she’s some way off her best ranking and on this surface Rybakina looks like the favorite. Rybakina in 2

Ons Jabeur vs Daria Saville

This pair have split h2h meetings, Jabeur was a quarterfinalist in Doha, Dubai, and Sydney this year along with the semifinals in Indian Wells last year. Saville has already won three matches here as a qualifier and prior to that, was a quarterfinalist in Guadalajara. She hasn’t been a major factor on the WTA Tour since 2018, Jabeur should be able to dominate proceedings. Jabeur in 2

Maria Sakkari vs Katerina Siniakova

The h2h is split 2-2, Sakkari is on a hot streak, winning a number of matches lately to reach the final in St. Petersburg and the semifinals in Doha for an 11-5 record on the season. Sakkari had a record number of wins last season and looks to be miles ahead of Siniakova right now, the Czech is just 1-6 on the season on the main tour after winning her opening match in Indian Wells. This should be one way traffic. Sakkari in 2
