The first round of ATP Vienna continues with the likes of Stefanos Tsitsipas and Frances Tiafoe in action. We have all your ATP Vienna Day 2 Predictions Including Lloyd Harris vs Casper Ruud as we predict every match on Tuesday from Austria’s historic city.
Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Ricardas Berankis
Berankis reached the semifinals in Moscow as a qualifier, his 13 ATP level wins are his most on tour since 2015 and a couple of decent tournaments to close the year will give him a career best year on the ATP. Despite the fact he’s playing well, defeating Auger-Aliassime will be a tough ask, the Canadian was a US Open semifinalist and has put together a massive year that helped him reach a career high ranking. Knocking on the door of the top 10, I expect Auger-Aliassime to settle himself and secure an opening match win against the outmatched Berankis. Auger-Aliassime in 2
Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Grigor Dimitrov
Dimitrov won this matchup last year in Vienna, the h2h is 1-1 overall, Dimitrov is in fantastic form with back to semifinals in California, reaching the semis in Indian Wells and San Diego prior to that. His 22 wins this season on the ATP Tour are his most since 2018 and he has a chance to extend that win total in the closing weeks of the season. While Dimitrov is rolling, Tsitsipas reached the quarters in the Indian Wells, had two Masters semifinals on hard courts prior to the US Open, and won a pair of matches in New York. While Tsitsipas isn’t quite playing up to his best tennis, he’s a dangerous player who will compete in this matchup. Dimitrov’s form should win the day though. Dimitrov in 3
Filip Krajinovic vs Alexander Zverev
Zverev defeated Krajinovic in their only match, the German reached the quarterfinals in Indian Wells after the US Open semifinal. After securing four titles this season, a fifth title is already in sight despite this being an opening round match. Krajinovic was a semifinalist in Sofia, and is a capable player, however he would have a better chance if this match was on clay. On indoor hard courts Zverev should be able to dictate play as he wishes. Zverev in 2
Dusan Lajovic vs Frances Tiafoe
Tiafoe leads the h2h 2-1, Lajovic has struggled to make a breakthrough in tournaments lately, his record is inconsistent, while the American Tiafoe came through qualifying and is on track for his best ATP season since 2018. Tiafoe also struggles with consistency, but on indoor hard courts should have more upside than his Serbian opponent. Tiafoe in 2
