ATP Moscow Day 2 Predictions Including Laslo Djere vs Gilles Simon

The bulk of first round action will complete at the Kremlin Cup in Moscow on indoor hard courts, Gilles Simon and Ilya Ivashka are among the players in action, we also have predictions for matches featuring Tommy Paul. Here is your look at all the Tuesday matches from ATP Moscow.

Alexander Bublik vs Ilya Marchenko

Marchenko qualified for both Sofia and Moscow, he’s been limited at the ATP level this year but respectable in Challengers and in ATP qualifying. The former top 50 player is trying to work his way back to the ATP Tour, Bublik was a semifinalist in Astana and should like this surface. At a career high ranking, I expect Bublik to continue his winning ways and get past this round 1 test. Bublik in 2

Miomir Kecmanovic vs Egor Gerasimov

Gerasimov also qualified for both Sofia and Moscow, Gerasimov has put together another solid season, while Kecmanovic is slightly off the pace from his career best years but is still the higher ranked player. This match is a pure coin flip, but Gerasimov will carry his qualifying form and that should give him a slight edge. Gerasimov in 3

Laslo Djere vs Gilles Simon

Simon has lost five straight matches and there a serious questions if he continue as an ATP player at all at this stage in his career. With just three wins this season, this is his worst year ever as a professional player. Djere was a quarterfinalist in Astana, he much prefers clay, but he’s put together a solid season and is simply playing much better tennis than what Simon is offering up right now. Djere in 2

Evgeny Donskoy vs Ilya Ivashka

The pair have split meetings 2-2, Ivashka was a semifinalist in Astana and had a great hard court summer, winning Winston-Salem and multiple US Open matches. Ivashka is at a career high ranking, will be seeking a second career ATP title this week, and is playing better tennis than we’ve ever seen before from him. Donskoy is playing at home but hasn’t won multiple ATP matches in a season in two years, mostly a Challenger Tour player, he looks to be outmatched vs Ivashka. Ivashka in 2
