ATP Los Cabos Final Prediction Including Cameron Norrie vs Brandon Nakashima

Cameron Norrie in action ahead of the ATP Los Cabos Open.

Well, ladies and gentlemen, it all comes down to this! Just two men are still standing at the ATP Los Cabos Open, with both no doubt eager to claim the title. As always, we here at LWOT will bring you a prediction of this final. But who will take the title?

ATP Los Cabos Final Prediction

Cameron Norrie vs Brandon Nakashima

Head-to-head: Nakashima 1-0 Norrie

The top seed Cameron Norrie, in the midst of an excellent year, has been dominant this week, especially in his last two matches. The Briton opened his tournament with a 7-6 6 6-3 win over Mikael Ymer, but found another gear after that match, defeating qualifier Ernesto Escobedo 6-1 6-1 and then third seed Taylor Fritz 6-3 6-1. There is no doubt that Norrie is having a career year as he is about to play his fourth final this year, but is still looking for his first career ATP title after losses at Estoril, Lyon, and Queen’s Club.

19-year-old Brandon Nakashima is set to play his first ATP final here in Los Cabos. It’s been a much more difficult journey for the American than his opponent, starting with a three-set win over Jeffrey John Wolf, which he followed up with a straight-set win over Sam Querrey. Then came Nakashima’s biggest challenge, saving three match points to beat fifth seed Jordan Thompson. Most recently, the 19-year-old produced a stellar returning performance to upset the 36-year-old John Isner 6-4 7-5 in the semifinals.

Surprisingly enough, Nakashima was the winner in their only previous meeting. He beat Norrie at the 2020 Delray Beach Open in his second-ever main draw match. But Norrie is clearly on another level this year though and will be the favorite to take the title.

Prediction: Norrie in 2
