Wimbledon Day 4 Predictions Including Carlos Alcaraz vs Daniil Medvedev

Daniil Medvedev ATP Mallorca 2021

Former Wimbledon finalist Marin Cilic, and world #2 Daniil Medvedev are in action on day 4 at Wimbledon. Our panelists have all the predictions for today’s play in London including Roger Federer’s match.

Carlos Alcaraz vs Daniil Medvedev

Yesh Ginsburg: Alcaraz got a great win in five sets in the opening round. Medvedev, though, has found his grass legs and form, and is playing like the World #2 right now. The Russian should impress. Medvedev in 3

Damian Kust: Alcaraz could be a very decent grass-court player in the future but for now, he’s still trying to find his footing on that surface. Medvedev survived a very tricky opener and remains among the title contenders. This should be very comfortable. Medvedev in 3

Benjamin Bonzi vs Marin Cilic

Yesh: Bonzi was impressive in his comeback to win his first match. Now he has to come back and take on a former Wimbledon finalist. Cilic might not be as good as he once, but he’s still good enough for this match right now. Cilic in 3

Damian: Cilic wasn’t even as good as expected against Caruso, allowing the Italian to take him to two tie-breakers. He should still have way too much power in his first-strike tennis to be stopped by Bonzi here, but if he is to have a chance at Medvedev later, he really needs to improve quickly. Cilic in 3

Ilya Ivashka vs Jeremy Chardy

Yesh: Ilya Ivashka has a great game for grass courts. Chardy is a wily veteran, but at some point I don’t know if he’ll have an answer for the Ivashka serve. Ivashka in 4

Damian: Both players are having a really good season and one of them will deservedly make another round (or maybe more). Chardy’s win over Karatsev sounds impressive, but the Russian is really struggling to find his footing on the grass. I’ll take Ivashka, who became a powerful force as the clay court season rolled around and isn’t slowing down. Ivashka in 4
