ATP Cologne Quarterfinal Predictions Including Gilles Simon vs Jannik Sinner

The merry go round continues in Cologne as it’s the quarterfinals for the second week of tournaments in Germany. Here are your predictions for the bett1Hulks Championships quarterfinals.

Gilles Simon vs Jannik Sinner

A veteran vs a relative newcomer, Sinner is the better player these days but Simon will look to outwit him and grind his way to an upset win. This is their first meeting and I still have Sinner as a clear favorite, he’s been dominant through two matches, Simon should keep it competitive but his luck won’t continue. Sinner in 3

Alexander Zverev vs Adrian Mannarino

Zverev has won five straight at this venue, and playing at home with a 3-0 h2h record against his veteran opponent he should be able to extend that winning streak. Mannarino can be tricky and he hasn’t dropped a set this week but Zverev should be able to reach a level that Mannarino simply can’t match. Zverev also just beat Mannarino at the US Open. Zverev in 2

Alejandro Davidovich Fokina vs Diego Schwartzman

Schwartzman eased past Davidovich Fokina at this year’s Australian Open. Both players are in excellent form, but Schwartzman likely has a slightly higher ceiling and should use his experience to prevail in a match that tennis fans should really be looking forward to. Schwartzman in 2

Yoshihito Nishioka vs Felix Auger Aliassime

Nishioka hasn’t lost to FAA and an upset looks to be in the cards here. Auger Aliassime was surprisingly locked into a tight opening match with Egor Gerasimov while Nishioka has already won two matches. The Japanese player isn’t quite as well known, but he moves well and I’m not sold on the Canadian’s form right now. Nishioka in 3
