ATP Dubai Day 2 Predictions Including Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Pablo Carreno Busta

Stefanos Tsitsipas

Day 2 at the ATP Dubai Duty-Free Tennis Championships promises lots of action throughout the day. We’re predicting eight of the day’s ten articles here at LWOT. Four matches are predicted in this article, and we have four in a separate article. Who will move on? We share our thoughts.

ATP Dubai Day 2 Predictions

Hubert Hurkacz vs Alexander Bublik

Two young rising stars of the sport will battle in Dubai. Bublik grabs the headlines and plays the fun style, but Hurkacz is a more solid player overall. Picking the winner here is tough, but I definitely know that this match will be a fun one to watch. Don’t miss it.
Prediction: Hurkacz in 3

Joao Sousa vs Filip Krajinovic

Sousa is a solid player who never seems to gather much in the way of headlines. His ranking has slipped recently, though. And Krajinovic has never replicated his success from the 2017 Paris Masters after missing time due to injury, but he loves these courts and should move on.
Prediction: Krajinovic in 2

Prajnesh Gunneswaran vs Dennis Novak

Gunneswaran has not found the success that so many Indian tennis fans have dreamed of. Novak hasn’t found the success that was expected of him either, but he’s getting there. Also, how can we pick against seeing a third-round match between Dennis Novak and Novak Djokovic?
Prediction: Novak in 3

Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Pablo Carreno Busta

Carreno Busta is a solid player who can hold his own, but he’s nowhere near the elite of the game yet. Tsitsipas has not quite found success at the highest levels of the sport yet, but he’s close. The young Greek star will be one of the best competitors in a strong field here. He won’t fall at the first hurdle.
Prediction: Tsitsipas in 2
