ATP Zhuhai Open Day 2 Predictions Including Andy Murray vs Tennys Sandgren

ATP Cincinnati Masters Andy Muray

Day 2 at the ATP Zhuhai Open promises to be good with Andy Murray taking the court as he continues his comeback. Find out who we think advances to the 2nd round in Zhuhai.

ATP Zhuhai Open Day 2 Predictions

Casper Ruud vs Miomir Kecmanovic

H2H- First Meeting
Even though the H2H says this is their first time facing off against each other, they should know each other’s game well. They often practice together and even played doubles with each other in New York at the US Open. Kecmanovic was playing well throughout the summer but was unable to make a big breakthrough. I think he’ll continue where he left off and get past Ruud, but it will be close.
Prediction: Kecmanovic in 3

Dominik Koepfer vs Zhizhen Zhang

H2H- First Meeting
Dominik Koepfer’s run at the US Open was probably one of the biggest stories throughout the tournament. He reached the round of 16 as a qualifier before falling to Daniil Medvedev. I think the run will give him some extra confidence heading into the Asian Swing. He’s up against wildcard Zhizhen Zhang who doesn’t have much main draw experience. I can’t see Koepfer having any issues here.
Prediction: Koepfer in 2

Alex de Minaur vs John Millman

H2H- First Meeting
John Millman didn’t have much luck in New York, drawing eventual champion Rafael Nadal in the first round. Just last week though, Millman played and won the Kaohsiung Challenger and won the event, that has to give him some confidence heading in. De Minaur will be playing in his first match since losing to Grigor Dimitrov in New York. I think de Minaur starts slow, but eventually gets it together and advances to the second round.
Prediction: De Minaur in 3

Andy Murray vs Tennys Sandgren

H2H- Sandgren leads 1-0
All eyes will be on Andy Murray as everyone waits for him to find some form. He hasn’t played that well throughout his comeback which was probably expected, but it’s only a matter of time before he turns it around. It’ll be tough against a player in Sandgren who he had trouble with in Winston Salem. I think it’s reasonable to assume that Murray will play better than he did last month with some extra time to train for the Asian Swing. I think Murray gets revenge on Sandgren this time around.
Prediction: Murray in 2
