If you’ve been reading my recent articles you may have noticed that I am the Simon Cowell equivalent out of the Last Word On Tennis writers. By that I mean being very critical and difficult to please, although I do lack the fame, fortune ,and recognition. However, it is only fitting that I am the one who writes a post of why each of the players left in the Australian Open Women’s Singles won’t win!
Obviously someone will win the tournament, but we are constantly discussing why players will win events so I believe it is refreshing to argue against the players. Below is a tweet on each of the 12 players (since some players have yet to play their 4th Round matches) in the Women’s singles using the #WhyTheyWontWin hashtag. I’d love for you to all get involved on Twitter using this hashtag to express your opinions or throw shade on the players! Anyway, here is why I think each player may be left-empty handed. The player who eventually comes away with the trophy could very well be the one who does the most to overcome these reasons.

So there are my reasons for why each player left in the Women’s Singles will not be victorious at the Australian Open. As expressed at the beginning, I hope you do get involved in this discussion on Twitter. As someone will have to win, I believe it will be the one who is the best able to overcome the potential reasons that they won’t win. However, until this actually happens I suggest we discuss #WhyTheyWontWin!
