The CanMNT has a very strong squad heading into the World Cup qualifiers. This includes FC Bayern Munich player Alphonso Davies and Vancouver Whitecaps FC player Lucas Cavallini. Both players were doubtful to appear in these World Cup qualifiers when they got injured. However, it looks like both players will start their World Cup qualifying campaign against Honduras.
There is a mix of MLS and European players that play with the CanMNT. The Canadian team is MLS heavy in the midfield. The names Canadians will know the most is CF Montréal player Samuel Piette and Toronto FC player Jonathan Osorio. They are both getting regular minutes with their teams and will play a big role in whether Canada succeeds or not. F.C. Paços de Ferreira player Stephen Eustáquio and also Reading player Junior Hoilett are other players on the team.
In particular, Piette has been with the team a long time. He has been through the highs and many lows with the CanMNT as he has been with the team since 2012.

Honduras is no stranger to CanMNT. Their roster is not as loaded as the CanMNT. However, as mentioned before, the big thing about their team is chemistry. Luis López, who is most likely going to be their starting goalkeeper, plays for Real Espana. The other two goalkeepers include Olimpia goalkeeper Edrick Menjívar and Motagua goalkeeper Marlon Licona.
There are also a few MLS players on the roster. The one Canadians and Montreal soccer fans might know is Romell Quioto. The forward/winger will be a force to be reckoned with. He has made 50 appearances for Honduras since 2012 and has scored 11 goals. There is also midfielder Bryan Acosta, who currently plays for FC Dallas. He has made 51 appearances and scored two goals for Honduras.
Other players from MLS that will play in the game are defenders Danilo Acosta (LA Galaxy), Andy Najar (D.C. United) and Maynor Figueroa (Houston Dynamo FC). The other midfielder are Boniek Garcia (Houston Dynamo).

This is not a must-win for CanMNT, but it is a game that they should win. Playing at BMO Field, the CanMNT will be considered favourites to win the game.
