Last Word SC: 401 Derby, Quakes Playoff Hopes, Galaxy Mondays, and USMNT

(September 2, 2016) – What’s up everybody? On this week’s episode of Last Word SC Radio, we talk Montreal Impact and San Jose Earthquakes.

Last Word SC: 401 Derby, Quakes Playoff Hopes, Galaxy Mondays, and USMNT

In the first segment, Matt and Joe sit down with Blayne Riffle to review Montreal’s insane 401 Derby victory over Toronto FC. They talk about Ignacio Piatti and Didier Drogba and what’s been working with the defense this year. Blayne also gives his take on what’s wrong with Harrison Shipp and why Dominique Oduro is the answer for the Impact offense.

In segment two, Dan Burkhead joins the guys to talk about the Goonies and Dom Ball. The group reviews John Doyle‘s firing and what Dom Kinnear needs to do to help the Quakes make the playoffs. Dan talks about the offensive changes that could be coming and the yeoman’s work of the patchy defense.

In the round table, Matt goes on a rant about the recent troubles of the LA Galaxy, including the sudden departure of Nigel de Jong. Joe tries to talk Matt off the ledge, just kidding, he pushes Matt off the ledge cause this is Sparta.

Joe and Matt finish up with a full break down of the USMNT roster and what’s in store for the weekend, including the St. Vincent and the Grenadines match.
