After taking the Labor Day weekend off, Jeff and Matthew are back with another episode of This Week in the Atlantic Coast Conference, and has been their tradition over the last few years they welcomed Brian Siegel, co-founder of the Boundary Corner podcast, for a look at the start of the ACC football season.

We kicked things off by discussing the most disappointing and impressive ACC teams of the past week. NC State’s was named one of the most disappointing teams to start the year for not just losing to Tennessee, but how they let the Vols beat them up badly. On the flip side, Syracuse’s defeat of Georgia Tech and Cal’s win over Auburn were highlights of the conference’s start to the year.

Brian shared some exciting updates about the Boundary Corner podcast, highlighting how the team has grown and the unique perspectives they bring to the Virginia Tech football community. It’s always inspiring to hear about passionate fans turning their love for the game into engaging content.

Week 3 Features ACC Teams Looking To Break Out

As we looked ahead to the upcoming ACC games, Boston College’s matchup against Missouri stood out. This game will be a true test for Boston College, and we’re eager to see how they perform against a top-ten SEC team. Florida State’s game against Memphis also generated a lot of discussions, with both teams having a lot to prove.

The guys also went outside the conference to highlight some of the most interesting games coming up this week. The new Big XII Conference matchup between Arizona and Kansas State as well as a SEC-Big Ten contest between Alabama and Wisconsin are among the games that caught their eye.

In our open mic segment, Brian expressed his hopes for Virginia Tech to finally get a win against Old Dominion in Norfolk, a game that has been a thorn in their side in recent years. He also shared his thoughts on the Hokies simplifying the offensive game plan to help the team gel better and perform consistently throughout the game.

Jeff ends with an important message on mental health awareness. With September being National Suicide Awareness Month, we emphasized the importance of taking time to take care of yourself.
