Another 16 games in the books for Friday in the first round of the 2023 NCAA tourney and our first #1 seed goes down, as Farleigh Dickinson stuns the East’s top team, Purdue for the second ever monumental upset by a lowest seeded team. We have all the insight and analysis on how it happened.

Plus, the Big East teams looked tremendous Friday, including Marquette, Xavier, Creighton and UConn all moving on to Sunday actions. We saw Florida Atlantic and TCU win their games on last second shots and have more on the newest “College Basketball Coast to Coast.”

Host T.J. Rives and analyst Ari Russell, who covered the Big East tourney semis and title game in NYC last week, are back for the Friday breakdown.

First, they talk T.J.’s Memphis Tigers being beaten in the final seconds by FAU, but Ari’s Miami Hurricanes surviving Drake as a 12 seed. Then, the conversation turns to what Marquette, Xavier, Creighton and most impressively, UConn did Friday.
