We are almost to the month of March in College Basketball and we are ready to break down some Thursday action, of course with an underdog perspective. We look ahead to more Saturday basketball with important games and more on the latest “Three Dog Thursday.”
Host T.J. Rives returns to go over all on the college hardwood, as we are about to head to conference tournaments coming and then, eventually, to “Selection Sunday,” where the field of 68 will be set.
And, he is joined by special guest Dan Leach, who’s been part of the Detroit sports media for the past 20 years and has tremendous insight on the Big Ten conference.
It’s been emotional at Michigan State
Dan specifically talks about the horror with the campus shooting deaths at Michigan State’s East Lansing campus and how it’s affected the Spartans loss in their first game since the tragedies at Michigan Saturday. However, Tom Izzo’s team played with massive emotion in a rally and whipping of Indiana Tuesday night. Dan has thoughts on it all and will it galvanize Sparty the rest of this season?
Dan then has more thoughts on Thursday’s slate, including the Wolverines as a pooch at Rutgers and also, Northern Kentucky a road doggie at Detroit-Mercy in late Horizon League regular season action.. The guys also look briefly ahead to Saturday games like North Carolina hosting Virginia and the night’s Purdue-Indiana Big Ten battle, as well.
