Miami’s 28–22 road victory at Florida State showcased a complete team performance. The Hurricanes dominated for most of the game, leading 28–3 entering the fourth quarter before easing off late. Head coach Mario Cristobal’s team looks like the most balanced in college football right now — strong quarterback play, a deep defense, and enough offensive firepower to hang with anyone. If Miami can play a full 60 minutes, they could be a legitimate playoff contender.

Blue Devils Own the Night in ‘ACC After Dark’

Duke’s 45–21 win at Cal was another reminder that the Blue Devils are quietly becoming one of the league’s toughest outs. With quarterback play at a high level and an offense firing on all cylinders, Duke has fully embraced the “ACC After Dark” identity. Cal, meanwhile, continues to struggle with inconsistency after another second-half collapse.

Virginia Keeps Its Cool in Overtime Thriller

The Cavaliers’ overtime win at Louisville was one of the weekend’s most impressive performances. Coming off a signature win over Florida State, Virginia could have stumbled — but instead showed focus and discipline in a tough road environment.

Disappointments Mount in Boston and Chapel Hill

Boston College’s 48–7 loss to Pittsburgh and North Carolina’s continued struggles have left both programs searching for direction. The Eagles look lost midway through the season, and UNC may now be the worst team in the Power Four.
