W Series driver Nerea Marti has replaced Tereza Babickova for the F3 testing at Magny-Cours following her injury.
A week ago Formula 3 promoters announced that four female drivers will be participating in a one-day test at Magny-Cours on the 16th and the 17th of September. The four drivers included: Abbie Pulling, Hamda Al-Qubasi, Chloe Chambers, and Tereza Babickova.
The same weekend FREC (Formula Regional European Championship) announced that Tereza Babickova will be debuting for G4 racing alongside Matias Zagazeta and Gillian Henrion for the eighth round of the season. However, in the first race at the Red Bull Ring in Austria, Babickova was involved in a heavy collision with teammate Henrion. The crash was a result of poor visibility caused by a storm.
Babickova suffered a spinal injury and was declared unfit to participate in the rest of the weekend. The injury has ruled Babickova out of the upcoming F3 test while she recovers.

Who is Nerea Marti?
Fellow W-Series driver Nerea Marti will be stepping in to take Babickova’s place for the F3 test. The 20-year-old Spanish driver currently sits sixth in the standings on forty-six points, just two behind fifth place.
Marti began her karting career at the age of nine eventually moving up to the Spanish Formula 4 Championship in 2019. She scored a podium in her first race, finishing sixteenth in the championship, and placed second in the female championship behind Belen Garcia (also now in the W Series).
In 2020, Marti qualified for the second season of the W Series where she would finish fourth overall after one podium.
Having already participated in the 2021 F3 testing alongside Maya Weug, Doriane Pin, and Irina Sidorkova, Marti will be familiar with the car. Can she use her Spanish F4 & W Series experience, along with last year’s test, to earn herself consideration for F3 next season?
