Has the Championship glory feeling gone away yet? It’s been over a week since Justin Allgaier captured the long-elusive NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship. In his seventh Championship Four appearance, the JR Motorsports driver finally captured the grand prize. To think Allgaier has been competing in the series since 2008.
He’s been through a lot and to finally have the Championship monkey off his back has to be one of the greatest feelings in the world. It’s not too early to look forward in time either for the now 38-year-old. Is this the start of another dynasty at the Xfinity level for JR Motorsports? Time will tell.

Championship Glory For Justin Allgaier, But How Much Does He Have Left?
You could tell the emotion was there on Allgaier’s face throughout the closing moments of the Xfinity Series finale at Phoenix. Boy, he had everything thrown at him, during that race. He could’ve easily folded and given up. That’s just not who Justin “Little Gator” Allgaier is. He gave it his all and it paid off. Championship Glory for everyone at JRM. Allgaier summed it up best during his post-race interview according to the Associated Press.
” This is mind blowing, it really is,” Allgaier said. “We tried to give it away every way we could.”
No kidding, a flat tire, two penalties. One of which was a restart violation, and that led to a pass-through, in which he was also busted for speeding. He fell laps down, but the 25-time Xfinity Series race winner just never gave up. That’s who is and how hungry he was to get the championship.

Not only for himself but for team owners Dale Earnhardt Jr and Kelley Earnhardt-Miller. Not to mention for everyone at longtime sponsor BRANDT. The Brandt Family were all in during the celebrations as well.
Where Oh Where is the Championship Flag?
After several burnout circles, Allgaier’s Championship Flag found its way into Dale Jr’s hands. Once it did, the party didn’t stop. The flag alone had plenty of Championship Glory, alongside Dale. The flag made the rounds, from the championship press conference in Phoenix to the Dirty Mo Media studio back in North Carolina. Dale Jr carried that flag proudly.

To see the excitement and joy on Dale’s face was something special. You could tell how much it meant to him. His fourth Xfinity Series championship as an owner of JR Motorsports. This one certainly won’t be forgotten by Dale.
The flag has found its new home with the Brandt family, a thank-you gift from Dale and JRM for their longtime support of the #7 team.
How Much is Left in the Tank for Justin?
25 wins, and now an Xfinity Series Championship. Allgaier has proven he’s one of this generation’s best at the Xfinity Series level. What more can he do? I’m sure he knows when it will be time to call it, but for him to finally have that championship is just awesome. He’s been great for the sport, and this series. I’m by no means saying he doesn’t have at least three more seasons worth left. Maybe more, one thing is for sure the Championship is his, and he won’t soon forget it.
