One more race for the 2024 Craftsman Truck Series and it will decide a title. We have seen constant action all season, and this last race is expected to be a wild one. The LWOS’ NASCAR team shares their picks for who will win the championship

It is a four way match between veteran Grant Enfinger, short track ace Ty Majeski, Phenom Corey Heim, and the regular season champion Christian Eckes. With tempers flaring at Martinsville between those in the four and those eliminated, we can only expect the chaos the Craftsman Truck Series is known for.

Meet your Truck Series Championship Four:

Corey Heim leads the group with six wins this season; COTA, Kansas, Wilkesboro, Gateway, Pocono, and Kansas 2. He has been the favorite to win the title both years now, just absolutely dominating the Trucks and setting himself up as a candidate for the Cup Series. Heim was the favorite last year before chaos struck with the #42 of Carson Hocevar. This year, he has tamer competitors and an excellent shot at the title.

Christian Eckes is heading to the Xfinity Series with Kaulig Racing. He has nothing to lose, but also has a target on his back. In the closing laps, Eckes moved Taylor Gray up the track, the move that won him the race. Gray was not happy, and expressed his emotions right to Eckes at the conclusion of the race. Gray was taken out of contention for the championship four, and Majeski took his place.

Ty Majeski, winner at Indy Raceway Park and Richmond. Previously mentioned, he got his spot in the Champ 4 because of the move between Gray and Eckes. Majeski is known for his short track abilities. Phoenix is considered an intermediate track that races like a short track, low banking, speed comes from who can rotate the center of the corner the best. Thorsport won last year’s championship and Majeski was third fastest in practice on Thursday. Could he get his first title this year?

The veteran of the four, Grant Enfinger. He came in second in the championship last year to Ben Rhodes, the last race for GMS Racing. Enfinger turned it up in the playoffs. He won at Talladega and followed it up with a win at Homestead. It would be his first title in the Truck Series and the first for his new team, CR7 Motorsports.

That is your championship four running for a title in Phoenix Friday night. Will we see chaos, most likely. It is anyone’s game who wins the 2024 title, but every driver is deserving for the performances they have put on this season.

LWOS Teams picks for the Championship:

Hayden Murdock:

I am picking Christian Eckes. He has nothing to prove to the Truck Series as he is heading to race on Saturday’s with Xfinity. Does he have to race looking behind him on Friday, of course. I think he will race aggressive, keeping an eye out for the #17 of Taylor Gray. When the night ends and he is either in victory lane celebrating a championship or on pit road, he can say that he gave it his all at Phoenix. He’s got the momentum and is the regular season champion, he is my pick for the 2024 championship.

Kaleb Kraus:

“Eckes certainly has momentum, but I think I am gonna go Corey Heim. He hasn’t won in a while and that feels like the theme for my championship picks this year. It’s certainly going to be either one of those two. He came so close last year and looks determined to finish the job”

Samuel Stubbs:

“Corey Heim. This will be an all-time battle between him and Eckes, but Heim will win the heavyweight tussle.”

Where to watch:

The final race for the Truck Series, the NASCAR Truck Series Championship Race, will begin at 7:00 PM Eastern Time. Coverage will be broadcasted on Fox Sports 1.
