2024 Formula 2 grid completed: Who is driving for each team?

The 2024 Formula 2 grid is completed and the season is about to begin. Here is the list of all the drivers racing for each team this year.

In March a new season will begin, and it has all the conditions to be one of the most competitive in Formula 2 in recent years. With rookies and old names on the grid, here are the drivers for the 2024 season.

Prema Racing

Among the stars of the 2024 Formula 2 grid, there is Kimi Antonelli. The Italian driver, after the victory in FRECA and FRMEC in 2023, is one of the most anticipated drivers. The talent of the Merced junior driver surprised many, enough to make him skip F3 to race in F2. Will it be a risky move, or will Antonelli be able to prove, once again, his talent?
Alongside him, Oliver Bearman comes back for his second season in F2 with Prema. After a pretty impressive debut, with a Clean Sweep in Baku and wins in Spain and Monza, the English driver is ready to make the step-up and fight for the championship.

ART Grand Prix

The team of the 2023 Formula 2 champion, Theo Pourchaire, also welcomes a rookie in their lineup. It is Zak O’Sullivan, F3 vice-champion last year and member of the Williams Academy. Many are curious to see what the Englishman is capable of doing in the new series. Together with him, all the eyes are on Victor Martins. First in the rookie championship last year and Formula 2 champion in 2022. The young Alpine driver wants to prove he has what it takes to win another championship.

MP Motorsport

Also in this team, there had been a confirmation and an addition to the lineup. It is Dennis Huger and Franco Colapinto. The first one will be in his third season in Formula 2, and he will have much to prove after being excluded by the Red Bull junior program in late October. The Norwegian will race with Franco Colapinto. The Argentine participated in the last round of the F2 season last year with MP Motorsport.

Van Amersfoort Racing

In 2024, the Dutch team will be composed of two new drivers. Enzo Fittipaldi joins the team for his fourth year in F2. In 2023, Fittipladi took his first win in the Sprint Race in Spa. He will share the box with Rafael Viliagomez who, after three years in Formula 3, will debut in Formula 2.

Rodin Motorsport

Also, the British team, which has recently changed its name, presents two new drivers. Zane Maloney and Ritomo Miyata. Super Formula champion and Toyota driver in WEC, the Japanese driver is ready to enter the European single-seat championships. For Maloney, 2024 will be his second year in Formula 2, after he finished last season in 10th position, racing for Trident.

Hitech Grand Prix

For 2024, Hitech has signed the Belgian drier Amaury Cordeel. Last season he managed to get to the points only on two occasions: Zandvoort and Monza. Paul Aron was chosen as his teammate. The Estonian finished the 2023 F3 championship in third position, and this will be his first season in F2.

After the departure of Jack Doohan to Formula 2 and the transfer of Cordeel, the English team changed its entire Line up. One of the two seats has been taken by the 2023 Formula 3 champion, Gabriel Bortoleto. The McLaren junior driver has shown much consistency last year. Will he be able to repeat the same performance in this new series? Kush Maini will also join the team. The Indian driver will be in his second year in Formula 2.

Campos Racing

Isack Hadjar was confirmed for a second year with the Spanish team. Last year, the French-Algerian driver, took part in two free practice sessions in Formula 1 with AlphaTauri (now Visa Cash App RB) and Red Bull. The second driver in the team will be a Spanish name. Pepe Martin, after a good second year in Formula 3, managed to make the step-up. He decided to stay with Campos Racing.

DAMS Lucas Oil

Full change for the French team too. From 2024, it will have two American drivers: Juan Correa and Jack Crawford. The first one, after the tragic incident in Spa in 2019, came back behind the wheel of a single-seater in 2021. This will be his second season in Formula 2.
Crawford, after being dropped by the Red Bull junior program, has signed a new contract with the new Aston Martin program for young drivers.

Trident Motorsport

The second Italian team on the 2024 Formula 2 grid announced two drivers with a lot of experience in the series. One of them is Richard Verschoor, who left the team to race with VAR in 2023 and will come back this year. Trident confirms the Czech Roman Stanek, even if last season he finished only in 17th position in the final standings.

PHM AIX Racing

PHM had been the last team to announce their lineup, made by two rookies: Taylor Barnard and Joshua Dürksen. The latter, like Kimi Antonelli, comes from FRECA where he managed to collect 26 points and a third place in Spa. In March, Barnard will make his debut in the 2024 Formula 2 grid. He raced in Formula 3 in 2023, and he inaugurated this year with a second place in the FRMEC championship.
