After a break of about two months, the championship will resume with a double-header that will start in Imola, Italy, on May 17-19 and then continue the following weekend in Monte Carlo, on May 23-26.
Triple-header
In late June and early July, there will be three races back-to-back. In particular these races are crucial for the drivers and their teams. The first race will be in Barcelona on June 21-23. The week after, Round 6 will be held in Austria on June 28-30. This circuit is very complex for young drivers, who must pay close attention to track limits to avoid penalties. Round 7 will be in Silverstone on July 05-07.
At the end of July, there will be two races before the summer break which are decisive for the championship. The first will be in Hungary on July 19-21, followed by the Belgian GP on July 26-28. After Spa, the drivers will enjoy a month of vacation before the end of the championship.
Lastly, the 2024 season will end in Monza, Italy on August 30 – September 1.
Bruno Michel, FIA Formula 3 CEO, commented on the new calendar. He was enthusiastic about the success of the races in Monaco and Melbourne. Michel especially talked about the importance of this category in recent years. He said:
“In a matter of five years, the FIA Formula Championship 3 has become a decisive category that features the best up-and-coming talents on their way to the top steps of motorsport.”
