Rookie Taylor Barnard has been announced as the third and final driver for Jenzer Motorsport ahead of the 2023 Formula 3 season.
Jenzer Motorsport has announced Taylor Barnard as their final driver for the 2023 season alongside Alex Garcia and Nikita Bedrin. Barnard is the 24th driver to be racing in the upcoming season.
Barnard’s 2022 Season
Barnard made his single-seater debut in the 2020 Italian Formula 4 Championship but would only participate in eight races. After finishing 26th, Barnard moved to the ADAC F4 championship the following year, but would only race in 12 events and finished 17th in the standings.
For 2022, Barnard had a hectic season as he competed full-time in the Italian, ADAC, and UAE F4 championships – all with PHM Racing. He drastically improved his performance and finished ninth (UAE), eighth (Italian), and second (ADAC) in the championships, taking a total of six victories and 12 podiums. In September, he participated in the Formula 3 post-season test alongside Garcia and Bedrin.
Barnard is currently racing in the Formula Regional Middle Eastern Championship (FRMEC) with PHM Racing. With the season ending on 19th February and with eight races left, Barnard currently sits second in the championship behind his Italian F4 championship successor Andrea Kimi Antonelli.

Following the announcement, Barnard stated:
“This is by far the biggest step in my career and it will be a challenge, but definitely one I’m up for! I would like to thank everyone at PHM Racing for this great opportunity that will make it possible for me to drive at Jenzer Motorsport in 2023.”
Andreas Jenzer (Team Principal of Jenzer Motorsport) added:
“We got to know Taylor as a very bright driver who doesn’t need long to feel good on a new track. This ability will be a huge asset for him given the limited track time in FIA F3 racing events. Taylor immediately shows strong pace and a quick adaptation, although of course it is clear that there is a learning curve for him to do, too.”
