Vans Amersfoort Racing has announced its final driver for the 2023 season as Brazilian Caio Collet joins them for his third year in F3.
Formula 3 driver Caio Collet has been announced as the final driver for Vans Amersfoort Racing alongside Tommy Smith and Rafael Villagomez. This will be his third season in the championship after spending two seasons with MP Motorsport.
The 2021/22 Season
Collet made his Formula 3 debut in 2021 after claiming second in the 2020 Formula Renault Eurocup. Partnering alongside Tijmen van der Helm and Victor Martins, Collet finished ninth in the standings with 98 points.
Collet retained his seat for the 2022 season, where he found more success. Despite scoring fewer points, Collett won twice and scored three podiums to finish eighth in the standings with 88 points. Racing alongside Alex Smolyer and Kush Maini, who finished tenth and 14th. Collet did not participate in the 2022 Formula 3 post-season test.

Following the announcement, Collet stated:
“During their first year in F3, the team proved to everyone how much potential they have. From my side, I am very confident going into the new season.“I have used the winter period effectively and feel ready, more than I ever did. I have set high goals for myself, and the team is as motivated as I am to take the maximum out of this year, so let the games begin!”
